Coaching or Managing a Team with the Saratoga-Wilton Soccer Club

Registration for all Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Managers

Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Team Managers are required to register through our Club Registration Site.

Please follow and complete all directions on this page to register.

Steps to Register as a Coach, Assistant Coach, or Manager

If approved, follow the Team Manager registration steps below.

REQUIRED:
Club Registration + Risk Management + Background Check + Concussion Awareness + Abuse Prevention Training + CPR Certification

  • Step 1.

    Register on our club site
    *Required for Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Managers*

  • Step 2.

    Complete the CDYSL Risk Management Registration Program
    *Required for Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Managers*
    • - On the CDYSL RMR page, click on the Management Registration link.
    • - Create a new account (it’s not the same as ours - but will look the same).
    • - Pay the fee and check out.
    • - Send your fee receipt to the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for reimbursement by the club.

  • Step 3.

    Complete the License Requirements for Coaching.
    *Required for Coaches and Assistant Coaches*

    • All SWSC coaches and assistant coaches must follow the new US Soccer Grassroots Coaching Pathway.
    1. Registration with the US Soccer Digital Coaching Center (DCC).
    2. Completion of the DCC online course, Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Program.
    3. Completion of up to 4 online courses and 4 field modules, in any order of preference.

    The CDYSL office requires first-year coaches to - at minimum - complete the online Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Program to coach a travel team. This will fulfill license requirements for only the first year of coaching.

  • Step 4.

    CPR Certification is required for all coaches and assistant coaches. Please email your certification to OR contact the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you need CPR Certification (to be provided by the Club).

The strength of the SWSC Club is our coaches and trainers.

They bring a lifetime of passion for the beautiful game and commitment to teaching young people how to play. Many have played soccer for their entire lives, for Saratoga and Clifton Park High School, for Siena, Pomona, and Grove City Colleges, and even semi-professionally in Columbia. One was even the former Director of the National Soccer Hall of Fame.

All of our head coaches hold either US Soccer Federation or National Soccer Coaches Association of America licenses.
