The Saratoga-Wilton Soccer Club (SWSC), established in 1983, is a local youth sports organization that develops competitive soccer skills in children from rec-level to U19. Our goal is to serve children who simply love soccer and team camaraderie, as well as players who strive to play college ball. Your leadership will support and strengthen the club for the next 35 years. 

Board Member expectations & benefits

  • Promote the mission of SWSC in the Saratoga-Wilton community
  • Participate in monthly board meetings
  • Serve on at least one committee
  • May Day bond check exemption & prime May Day Parking Space
  • Connect with community, professional, and soccer networks
  • Directly impact the success of a local non-profit & young athletes

Board meetings will be held virtually until further notice. Join us here via Google Meet.

All club members are welcome to attend the SWSC board meetings.


8:00 - 10:00 pm

Typically, the first 1/2 hour of the board meeting is open to public business.

If there's a need for a closed executive board meeting, we would adjourn and hold it after public business is finished.

CDYSL & SWSC Directors and Officers Code of Conduct

As an Officer or member of the Board of Directors, I agree to abide by the terms and conditions of behavior outlined below. I acknowledge that any significant failure on my part to abide by this Code of Conduct may result in the Club President or the Club’s Board of Directors taking appropriate disciplinary action against me.

  • Directors and Officers shall serve as role models for all members of the Club.
  • Directors and Officers shall support the efforts of the Club’s coaches, assistant coaches, trainers and team managers, regardless of whether said individual is paid or a volunteer.
  • Directors and Officers shall never use profanity, drugs or tobacco during any game, practice or training session.
  • Directors and Officers shall never strike, shove, or threaten any Director, official, player, spectator, team parent, coach, assistant coach, team manager or trainer.
  • It is expected that all Board and Committee members will vote as both professionals and as individual experts and not as a member of any affiliate block (organization, alliance, company, consortium, special interest group, etc.).
  • Any Director’s vote regarding the Club’s funds and activities must promote the Club’s public purpose rather than any private interest.
  • Committee Chairs have a responsibility to represent their Committee on the Board of Directors.
  • All Directors and Officers must understand and follow the Club’s Conflict of Interest Policy.
  • Any Board or Committee member with a conflicting interest in a matter scheduled for Board or Committee review must disclose such to the President/Chair and must recuse him or herself from participating in any discussion of the matter and from voting on that matter.
  • Regardless of the time and sacrifices you devote, no Director, Officer, or other volunteer will receive any financial benefit or credit for their volunteer services.
  • Directors and Officers should speak up when you have questions or disagree, but shall support the final decision of the organization.
